How do I set up MonitorWorkspace?

Setup requires creating a service account in your Google Cloud project and configuring domain-wide delegation in your Workspace Admin Console. Our setup guide walks you through each step in about 10 minutes.

How does automatic setup work?

When you choose “Authorize & Set Up Automatically” during onboarding, MonitorWorkspace securely configures the required Google Cloud resources on your behalf. Here's what happens:

  • You authorize access through Google's standard OAuth consent screen — we never see your password.
  • We provision the necessary cloud resources in your Google account so MonitorWorkspace can communicate with your Workspace securely.
  • The process typically completes in under a minute.
  • You remain the full owner of everything created — you can review or remove resources at any time from your Google Cloud Console.

Can I monitor users without them knowing?

On the Free tier, monitoring is transparent — content is redacted and users are notified. On Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans, monitoring is silent with full content access. Regardless of plan, you must comply with applicable employment and privacy laws. Consult legal counsel to ensure compliance.

Is my organization's data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Service account credentials are stored encrypted. We use email allowlist access control, audit logging, and comply with OWASP ASVS security standards. See our Privacy Policy and Security FAQ for details.

What happens if I exceed my plan limits?

For annual plans, overage users are billed at the monthly rate. For Pro subscribers, email transfers and chat exports require credit packs. Business and Enterprise plans include unlimited offboarding. See our pricing details for the full breakdown.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel anytime from your account settings. Access continues until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months or years. You can request a data export before canceling.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes, we offer a 14-day free trial of the Pro tier with access to Gmail monitoring, Chat monitoring, and Audit logging. No credit card required. The trial is limited to 25 users. See pricing for plan details.
