MonitorWorkspace Beta Program — 1 Year Free for Founding Members
Join the MonitorWorkspace beta and get 12 months of free access to Google Workspace monitoring, email transfers, and chat exports. Here is what to expect.
MonitorWorkspace is now open for beta testers. If you manage a Google Workspace domain and want a single dashboard for user monitoring, email transfers, chat exports, and group management, this is your chance to try it for free — for an entire year.
This post covers what the beta includes, what to expect during the Google verification process, and how the referral system works.
What You Get as a Beta Member
Beta testers get full access to every feature in MonitorWorkspace for 12 months from the date they're approved. No credit card required, no commitment, no feature walls. That includes:
- User directory and monitoring — See every user in your Google Workspace domain, their license assignments, admin roles, and account status. Monitor Gmail and Google Chat activity across the organization.
- Email transfers — Move email from one account to another during employee offboarding. Dry run estimates show exactly how many emails will transfer before you commit.
- Chat exports — Export Google Chat messages from any space in your domain. Download as structured files for compliance or archival.
- Group management — Audit Google Groups across your domain. Identify empty groups, stale memberships, and orphaned groups with no owner.
- License tracking — See which users have which license editions (Starter, Standard, Business, Enterprise) and identify suspended users still consuming paid licenses.
- Audit logging — Every admin action is logged with timestamps and user context for compliance.
This is the same feature set that will be available on paid plans after launch. Beta members get the full experience.
The "Unverified App" Warning
During the beta period, you'll see a Google warning screen when signing in that says the app is "unverified." This is standard for any application going through Google's OAuth security review. It does not mean the app is unsafe.
Here's what's happening:
- Google reviews all apps that request access to Workspace data (email, chat, user directory). This review process takes 2–3 months.
- During the review, Google shows a warning screen to anyone who authorizes the app. You'll need to click "Advanced" and then "Go to MonitorWorkspace" to proceed.
- After the review, the warning disappears permanently. The app will be listed in Google's marketplace as a verified application.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. MonitorWorkspace never stores your Google credentials — it uses OAuth tokens with scoped permissions. The "unverified" label is purely about Google's review timeline, not about security.
If your organization has policies that require verified apps, you can still join the waitlist. We'll notify you when verification is complete so you can sign in without the warning.
How the Waitlist Works
The beta is managed through a waitlist to ensure quality onboarding:
- Apply — Fill out the beta registration form with your name, work email, and optional details about your workspace.
- Review — We review applications to confirm they're from real Google Workspace administrators. We prioritize work email addresses (your-company.com domains) over personal email.
- Approval — Once approved, you'll receive an email with instructions to sign in and connect your Workspace domain.
- 12-month timer starts — Your free access begins the day you first sign in, not when you apply.
We're rolling out access in batches to keep onboarding manageable. Most applicants hear back within a few days.
Referral Program — Earn Extra Months
Every approved beta member gets a personal referral code. Share it with other Google Workspace admins and earn 3 extra months of free access for each person who joins through your code.
There's no cap on referral rewards. If you refer 4 people, that's 12 extra months — effectively extending your free access to 2 full years.
Referral codes are distributed after approval. You can share them directly or use the personalized referral link that auto-fills the code on the beta registration form.
Who Should Apply
The beta is designed for IT administrators and Workspace managers who:
- Manage employee offboarding and need a reliable way to transfer email and export chat before deleting accounts
- Want visibility into email and chat activity across the organization for compliance, legal holds, or general oversight
- Spend time manually auditing Google Groups, admin roles, or license assignments and want that automated
- Run small-to-medium teams (under 50 users) where dedicated IT tooling is hard to justify at enterprise prices
If you're currently doing any of this through the Google Admin Console alone, MonitorWorkspace fills the gaps that the console doesn't cover — things like cross-account email transfers, chat message exports, group health scoring, and license waste detection.
What Happens After the Beta
When your beta period ends (12 months plus any referral bonus), you'll have the option to continue on a paid plan. Beta members will receive founding member pricing that locks in the beta-era rates.
If you choose not to subscribe, your account will downgrade to the Free tier — which supports up to 10 users with basic monitoring. Your data and configuration will be preserved.
We're building this in the open and feedback from beta testers directly shapes the product. If there's a feature you need, the beta period is the best time to ask for it.
Apply Now
The beta registration form is at monitorworkspace.com/beta. It takes about 30 seconds to fill out. If you have a referral code from an existing member, it will be applied automatically.
