MonitorWorkspace Beta Program — 1 Year Free for Founding Members

Join the MonitorWorkspace beta and get 12 months of free access to Google Workspace monitoring, email transfers, and chat exports. Here is what to expect.

betagoogle-workspaceannouncementit-admin

We built MonitorWorkspace because the Google Admin Console is remarkably good at some things and completely useless at others. Transferring email between accounts before offboarding someone? You're on your own. Exporting chat history for compliance? Good luck. Figuring out which suspended users are still burning paid licenses? Hope you like spreadsheets.

So we built the tool we kept wishing existed. And now it's ready for other admins to try — free for a full year, no credit card, no strings.

What You Get as a Beta Member

Connect your Workspace domain and the first thing you'll see is your complete user directory — who's active, who's suspended, who has which license edition, and who holds admin privileges. It's the bird's-eye view that the Admin Console buries behind six clicks.

Click into any user and you can browse their Gmail inbox in read-only mode, with every single access logged for your audit trail. Need to move email before deleting an account? The transfer panel gives you a dry-run estimate first so you know exactly how many messages will move and how long it'll take. No surprises, no half-finished migrations.

Chat exports work the same way — pick a space, export the messages as structured files, done. Compliance teams love it because the data is timestamped and complete. Group management shows you the health of every Google Group across your domain: which ones are empty, which have stale members, which lost their owner somewhere along the way.

And because every action any admin takes inside MonitorWorkspace is logged with full timestamps and user context, you get compliance coverage without thinking about it.

This is the same feature set that paid plans will offer after launch. Beta members get everything, full stop. Your 12 months of access starts the day you first sign in, not when you apply.

The "Unverified App" Warning

Yes, you'll see a scary Google warning when you sign in. No, your data isn't at risk. Here's what's actually going on.

Google reviews every application that requests access to Workspace data — email, chat, user directory. That review takes two to three months, and during that window, Google shows a warning screen to anyone who authorizes the app. You'll need to click "Advanced" and then "Go to MonitorWorkspace" to get past it.

Once the review is complete, the warning disappears permanently and the app will be listed in Google's marketplace as verified. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. MonitorWorkspace never stores your Google credentials — it uses OAuth tokens with scoped permissions. The "unverified" label is purely a timing issue, not a security one.

If your organization requires verified apps before authorizing, you can still join the waitlist. We'll notify you the moment verification is complete so you can sign in clean.

How the Waitlist Works

Apply at the beta registration form with your work email. We review applications in batches to confirm they're from real Workspace administrators — work domains get priority over personal email. Most people hear back within a few days. When you're approved, you'll get an email with instructions to connect your domain and start using the dashboard.

Remember: your 12 months of free access starts when you first sign in, not when you submit the form. No rush to get started the second you're approved.

Referral Program — Earn Extra Months

Share your referral code and earn 3 extra months of free access for every admin who joins through you. No cap. Four referrals and you've doubled your beta to two full years of free access.

You'll receive your personal referral code after approval. Share it directly or use the personalized link that auto-fills the code on the beta registration form.

Who Should Apply

If you're doing employee offboarding through the Google Admin Console alone — manually forwarding email, hoping chat history isn't lost, toggling licenses one by one — MonitorWorkspace was built for exactly this pain. It fills the gaps the console doesn't cover: cross-account email transfers, chat message exports, group health scoring, and license waste detection.

Small-to-medium teams feel this the most. When you're managing under 50 users, enterprise IT tooling is overkill and the price tag is impossible to justify. But the problems don't go away just because the team is small. You still need to offboard people cleanly, maintain compliance, and stop paying for licenses nobody is using.

What Happens After the Beta

When your beta period ends — 12 months plus whatever you've earned through referrals — you'll have the option to continue on a paid plan at founding member pricing, locked in at beta-era rates.

If you'd rather not subscribe, your account downgrades to the Free tier: up to 10 monitored users with basic monitoring. Your data and configuration stay exactly where they are, nothing gets deleted.

We're building this in the open and beta tester feedback directly shapes what we build next. If there's a feature you need, this is the best time to ask for it.

Get In

The beta registration form takes about 30 seconds. If you have a referral code from an existing member, it gets applied automatically. Questions? Check the FAQ section or start a thread in the community forum.

If you want to see what MonitorWorkspace handles before committing, the offboarding checklist covers the full process that email transfers and chat exports plug into. The email monitoring guide explains the legal framework behind inbox access — worth reading before you start browsing anyone's mail. And the license cost guide shows exactly the kind of waste the dashboard catches automatically on day one.
